Day 15

Day 15: Barcoding but solo
Today feels like a slightly less productive day compared to our usual routine at the library. As the morning begins, our first task is to remove the Valentine's Day decorations that adorned the library. We take down the balloons and heart-shaped papers that added a festive touch to the surroundings.
During this time, Ma'am Ruby Ann arrives at the library with some freshly baked pandesal, a delicious Filipino bread, which we enjoy with some peanut butter.

As for my specific task today, I am responsible for barcoding the books. This process involves retrieving the books from the shelves, cross-checking them with the library's database system, and recording them in a sheet file. There are two separate sheet files, one for books that are available at the health sciences library and another for books that are yet to be recorded or are still recorded at the University Library.

Fortunately, Vicente is present today, and he kindly lends me a helping hand by assisting me in sticking the barcodes onto the books and securing them with tapes. It's a collaborative effort that makes the task less daunting and more enjoyable.

Overall, even though today may seem less productive compared to our other days at the library, it's still a necessary and vital part of maintaining a well-organized and functioning library.
