Day 6

Day 6: Day Two of making barcodes
Today at the library is bustling. To kick off the day, we were treated to coffee from Ma'am Ruby Ann and Ma'am Regina. As we enjoyed our beverages, we conducted routine maintenance on the library's computers, freeing up valuable storage space by removing any unnecessary files and programs that had been downloaded by students from the College of Nursing and Medicine.
After thorough cleaning of the computer and removal of all irrelevant files and programs, we began to label our books and database with barcodes. By the end of the morning, we successfully added barcodes to over 70 books.

To ensure that we stay fresh and focused, we took short breaks in between our barcode insertion tasks. During one of these breaks, we visited the University Library to drop off some important papers. After completing this errand, we returned to the Health Sciences Library and resumed our barcode labeling.

Unfortunately, we ran out of printed barcodes in the morning and had to halt our progress temporarily. Nevertheless, we are determined to continue our work once more barcodes are available.
Following our lunch break, we resumed our work by creating new barcodes and printing them. We then carefully cut each barcode and proceeded to update the database and books with the newly generated codes. Before the end of the day, we took the necessary measures to sanitize the library to ensure the safety and health of all visitors.
In conclusion, we had a productive day at the library as we managed to complete the task of generating new barcodes, updating the database and books, and disinfecting the library. Our efforts resulted in the completion of more than 100 books. More books to go.
