Day 18: Back to Barcoding Monday On this Monday morning, Ryan, Vicente, and I gathered at the library to start the day's task of making barcodes. We set out to register new barcodes for the books in the library's database, a routine task that we had done many times before. Throughout the day, we diligently worked on the books and managed to complete 800 of them with registered barcodes. Ryan was responsible for finding the necessary information about each book and inserting it into a spreadsheet, while Vicente meticulously placed the barcodes on the books. Meanwhile, I took charge of registering the barcodes in the library's database, ensuring that each book was correctly labeled and recorded. Day 17: Productive Short Day Making Barcodes Today was a productive day, despite it being shorter than usual. Our task for the day was to make barcodes, and though Ryan couldn't join us due to his group's preparation for their final defense in their capstone project, Vicente and I were able to make progress. However, our efforts were cut short by an event - the End of the Term Report of President Arnulfo Mateum Mascariñas of Bicol University. All library staff were required to attend the event, and as a result, our time to make barcodes was limited. Nevertheless, we made the most of the time we had, and though our progress was not as much as we had hoped for, we were satisfied with what we accomplished. We will continue our work on the barcodes tomorrow, hoping to make up for lost time.

Day 16: A Day at the Library: Barcoding Books, Ash Wednesday, and an Internet Setback" Today, as usual, I spent my day at the library making barcodes. My colleague Vicente and I worked together to create the barcodes for the books. My task was to search for the necessary information for each book at the BUiLib, which I then wrote down on the record sheet to keep track of the barcoded books and other books in the library's database. In the morning, Ma'am Regina, one of the librarians, invited us to take a break and join her for some bread and coffee. We had a pleasant chat before returning to our work. Day 15: Barcoding but solo Today feels like a slightly less productive day compared to our usual routine at the library. As the morning begins, our first task is to remove the Valentine's Day decorations that adorned the library. We take down the balloons and heart-shaped papers that added a festive touch to the surroundings. During this time, Ma'am Ruby Ann arrives at the library with some freshly baked pandesal, a delicious Filipino bread, which we enjoy with some peanut butter. As for my specific task today, I am responsible for barcoding the books. This process involves retrieving the books from the shelves, cross-checking them with the library's database system, and recording them in a sheet file. There are two separate sheet files, one for books that are available at the health sciences library and another for books that are yet to be recorded or are still recorded at the University Library. Day 14: Lively Morning at the Library It was a bustling day at the library, as numerous students from different courses, such as those from the College of Nursing and College of Medicine, had come to review and study. However, there was a slight change in the usual work routine as Ryan was absent due to his Capstone group's final defense preparations, and Vicente was on his way and would only arrive in the afternoon. As the only trainee present in the morning, I received a request from Ma'am Regina to take a picture of the library, which was brimming with students, for documentation purposes. With Ryan absent, I couldn't put barcodes on the books alone, which would have been a challenging task. So, I decided to generate new barcodes, which I printed and cut in the morning. Day 13: Friday Making Barcodes  Today is Friday, and the weekend is just around the corner. As part of my daily routine, I spent the morning registering barcodes for books in the library's database. My colleague Ryan and I had to make a quick trip to the ICTO office to address an issue with his daily time record. On the way there, we stumbled upon an empanada vendor and couldn't resist buying some to snack on during our walk. Unfortunately, Ryan's time record had not been properly recorded, and Ma'am Sha was unable to find any data associated with it. After a brief discussion with the ICTO, we were able to identify and rectify the problem with Ryan's records. Once we returned to the library, we resumed our work registering barcodes, and after a few hours, it was time for lunch. Day 12: Making Barcodes Today was another busy day at the library, as we continued to generate barcodes for the books and register them in our database. I arrived early at 7:17 am, eager to get started, but had to wait for my colleagues Ma'am Regina and Ryan to arrive. Unfortunately, Ma'am Ruby Ann was absent today as she was busy with her defense, and Vicente was also unable to make it due to an emergency. To kick off our day, we devoted our efforts to creating fresh barcodes, and we were delighted to produce a whopping 200 of them. This task consumed the entirety of our morning, and we subsequently printed the barcodes onto 8 pages of paper, which we later trimmed to size.
